As homeowners, we’ve experienced firsthand how frustrating it can be to navigate a market filled with inconsistent quality, unclear pricing, and contractors who don’t always stand behind their work. That experience is exactly what led us to build Veteran Pros Services—a company rooted in doing things the right way.
Our background brings a unique perspective. After moving to Colorado from a farm in Northeast South Dakota, I spent years working in the home services industry with companies like ServiceMagic (now HomeAdvisor), BestContractors.com, and Done Right! Directory. I saw both sides of the industry—homeowners searching for reliable help and skilled contractors struggling to compete against low-cost, low-quality work.
During my time serving in the United States Marine Corps, the values of discipline, accountability, and integrity became the foundation for how I approach both life and business. Those same principles now guide every project we take on.
In 2015, I transitioned into software sales, where I spent over a decade in the technology industry. During that time, I saw a growing shift toward prioritizing volume and lowest bids over quality and craftsmanship. Following a recent layoff, I took the opportunity to step back and refocus on what matters most. It became clear that I wanted to return to my hard-working roots—doing meaningful, hands-on work that delivers real value. That experience only reinforced what I’ve always believed: homeowners deserve better, and quality work should always come first.
Today, Veteran Pros Services is a true family-driven business. My wife, a middle school teacher of more than 15 years, and I are raising our blended family of five kids out in the country—along with our growing crew of animals. Life here revolves around hard work, responsibility, and taking pride in what you do—values we carry into every job.
